Well, since this weather on the East Coast can not seem to make up its mind on if it is ready for Summer or keeping us in sweatshirts this entire spring I figured I would share a treadmill interval run. No matter what the weather you have no excuse! It would be pushing it if I said I “enjoyed these interval runs”, but the burn and feeling that follows makes you want to keep coming back for more… TRUST ME.

Treadmill Interval Workout:

2 min. Walk
5 min. Warm up Jog
***Start with an easy pace, give a few taps up of speed every 30 seconds.

{Incline .5}
Sprint 1 minute (Aim for 9.0 Speed/ 9.5 speed)
Rest 30 seconds
Be careful stepping to the side this can be scary at first
***Repeat this 5 times***

{Incline 1.0}
Sprint 45 seconds (Aim for 9.5 Speed)
Jog 45 seconds (Aim for 6.0 Speed)
***Repeat this 5 times***

3 Hill Sprints – {Incline 7.0}
30 seconds at 10.0 Speed
Rest 30 seconds

Walk 2 min. Cool down and Stretch!
